FAQ
Why handmade natural Soap?
Our soap comes from plant-based oils, compared to commercial "soaps" that are basically just detergents, lathering agents and synthetic ingredients
The handmade soap process causes the least loss of natural glycerin, which means there's lots of glycerin left in the soap for you! This improves the soap's moisturizing properties and helps restore the skin's natural pH levels.
Our soap is environmentally friendly because it is 100% biodegradable while commercial soaps which contain detergents are non-biodegradable.
What is in our Soap?
Our soap is made of plant-based oils and essential Oils for fragrance.
Our soaps do not contain toxic chemicals like sodium Lauryl sulfate, preservatives like parabens, filler oils like soybean or hydrogenated vegetable oils, artificial colorants, or artificial perfumes
Our soap is hand crafted using simple, natural ingredients. At the end of the day, It’s Just Soap!
Essential oils vs fragrance oils?
We use essential oils in our products. Essential oils are natural botanical extracts of various flowers, plants, herbs, spices, or fruits. Because it is extracted from natural sources there are many additional health benefits. You can learn more about these benefits on our blog. Fragrance oils on the other hand are not natural, they are chemically manufactured and as a result can be harmful to the skin.
How long will the soap last?
We recommend you use your soap within one year of purchase for best results.
Do you test on animals?
We do not test on animals and never will.
Why does my soap look cloudy?
Our soaps are made with extra plant oils in a process called “superfatting.” This process leaves a portion of unincorporated oils in the finished soap, which ensures that our soap has superior moisturizing qualities.
A side effect of the extra oil is that you may see some cloudiness occur as a result of the bottle being exposed to cold temperatures during shipping. Once the bottle reaches room temperature, it will become clear again.
Does the scent fade?
The essential oils that add the fragrance to the soap will not incorporate completely during the soap making process. This sometimes results in some essential oil to rest on top of the soap. We recommend you give the bottle a shake to mix the essential oils with the soap to enhance the scent.
